Sehwag has played really good test cricket since early 2009 and contributed well to India's impressive winning record during this period (played 10 test matches, won 6, lost 2, draw 2). He has been awarded Test Cricketer of the Year award by ICC.
Figure 1 shows batting and bowling record of all nominees for this award. Notice that not only did Sehwag score the highest # runs, he scored them at high strike rate (runs/ball) as well. This put his team in a very strong position and resulted in many wins (see "). The chances that Sehwag would score big (50+, 100+) was also the highest during this period (see "High.Score.Probability").
